Well Halloween has officially started its 6:21pm

make sure to not visit Wario's Funhouse

the story of Wario's fun house is this

During the development, devs wanted to create a mischievous, unpredictable, trickster kind of enemy AI for this level. However, the way they coded the AI caused some problems that created this half self-aware glitch that spread throughout the whole game. The glitch was still out in the open in the beta version.

They could not find any way to actually delete it from the game. To not waste the finished game they had in their hands, they came up with a solution and locked this stage out of the castle and all other areas. The glitch was also locked away in this stage. Since the glitch was never actually deleted, it can still minimally affect other areas of the game. Its stage can also be reached by going out of bounds and drifting through the exterior universe. The glitch's "unpredictable" and "randomized" nature is what causes every copy to be personalized.

This glitch's AI was supposed to be Wario's. Both Wario and Luigi were supposed to be in the game. But what does this glitch want? It wants to stay alive and every second of Mario being alive is a threat to its existence. It does everything in its power to destroy Mario's health bar. But when it's not enough, everything gets weird. The audio gets distorted, the textures go wild, the gameplay gets kind of creepy. Why? Because as a backup plan, the glitch tries to scare the player away from playing the game. Somehow the glitch is aware of how to make things unsettling for the player. Maybe it's how its AI was coded, maybe it learned to do that by itself. Thankfully it can only affect you in the game and nowhere else. Or can it?
